Role Overview:
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, adapting, and scaling technical solutions for enterprise customers. You will act as a technical owner for customer engagements, translating business needs into robust engineering solutions while maintaining a high bar for code quality, system design, and long-term maintainability.
Contract Type: Full-Time Contract (Mexico-based, long-term engagement)
Location: Remote – Mexico only
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with enterprise customers in a client-facing capacity to understand technical and business requirements.
- Design, build, and deploy hands-on engineering solutions tailored to customer environments.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to influence product direction.
- Own technical implementations end-to-end, from discovery and design to deployment and iteration.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers, helping them adopt and scale solutions successfully.
- Debug, optimize, and extend existing systems in production environments.
- Provide technical leadership during customer engagements, including best practices, architecture guidance, and trade-off discussions.
- Document solutions, architectures, and learnings to support internal knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on software engineering experience (full-stack, backend, or platform-focused).
- Experience working in customer-facing or client-facing technical roles.
- Solid understanding of system design, APIs, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go).
- Ability to quickly understand complex systems and adapt solutions to different environments.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with enterprise stakeholders.
- Ownership mindset with the ability to lead technical initiatives independently.
Nice to Have:
- Experience deploying solutions in enterprise or regulated environments.
- Background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Exposure to AI, GenAI, or data-driven systems.
- Previous experience influencing product roadmaps based on customer feedback.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
