Role Overview

We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test who is passionate about building robust, AI-augmented quality systems. In this role, you’ll design and implement automated test frameworks, own test coverage for full-stack features, and actively integrate AI tools into your quality engineering workflow. You’ll be a key partner to developers and product teams — ensuring quality is shipped, not just checked. 

Key Responsibilities 

Quality & Test Engineering 

• At least 4 years of Automation Experience. 
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites covering UI, API, and integration layers using Playwright, Selenium, or Pytest. 
• Build and maintain data-driven and keyword-driven test frameworks from the ground up. 
• Own API test automation using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar. 
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar) to enable continuous quality. 
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and exploratory testing across web and backend services. 
• Work within an Agile delivery model, using Jira to manage test plans, execution cycles, and defect tracking. 
• Collaborate with developers during code reviews to flag testability concerns early. 
• Produce clear test reports and communicate quality metrics to the team. 

AI-Augmented Testing 

• Use GenAI tools to auto-generate test cases, test data, and edge-case scenarios at scale. 
• Apply LLM-assisted techniques to accelerate test script generation and maintenance. 
• Explore AI-powered testing tools for visual regression, intelligent test selection, and anomaly detection. 
• Contribute ideas for integrating AI into the team’s QA workflows and advocate for adoption. 

Candidate Requirements 

• 3–4 years of experience in software test automation or SDET roles. 
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one automation framework: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Pytest. 
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java for writing test automation code. 
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, etc.) and REST API concepts. 
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into automated build processes. 
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking in Jira. 
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. 
• Ability to analyze test results, identify root causes, and communicate findings clearly. 

Good to Have 

• Experience using GenAI tools for test case generation or documentation. 
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust). 
• Exposure to Docker and containerized test environments. 
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for test infrastructure. 
• Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or Behave.
